USF’s graduate program in “big data” analytics ranks among the top in the nation and alongside programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University, according to MastersInDataScience.org, a firm specializing in online guides of schools and educational programs.
USF’s one-year, intensive Master of Science Analytics program made the “23 Great” list for its connections to Silicon Valley internships and career opportunities. The program was praised for its emphasis on the technical and business sides of the field, with courses in predictive analytics, econometrics, business communications, and management science.
Students have the opportunity to develop software, run analyses on Amazon Web Services, where they’re able to crunch massive data files, and set up and manage their own servers, noted MastersInDataScience.org.
