Forbes ranks USF students and alumni among nation's most entrepreneurial.
USF is among the top 25 most entrepreneurial colleges and universities in the country, according to new rankings released by Forbes magazine.
In the global heart of technology
USF ranked 21 on the magazine’s list, which includes perennial startup incubators like Stanford and Princeton universities.
“The Forbes rank points to the environment we have created at USF that informs and supports the entrepreneurial endeavors of our students and alumni,” said Mark Cannice, chair of the School of Management’s entrepreneurship and innovation program. “Being in San Francisco is an advantage we embrace. It puts us in the global heart of new venture creation, technology innovation, and venture capital.”
Students and alumni business founders
Forbes ranked USF against other U.S. research universities based on an entrepreneurial ratio — the number of students and alumni identifying themselves as business owners or business founders on LinkedIn when compared to the school’s total student body.
