The University of San Francisco's Beth Yarnelle Edwards' new photo exhibit, "Suburban Dreams," is on display at the Oakland Museum of California. Edwards' images use Silicon Valley as a backdrop to capture realistic photos of everyday suburban life and are included in her 2011 book of the same name. The exhibit runs through June 30.
Edwards, an adjunct professor of rhetoric and language, has exhibited her work around the globe, including at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art. Edwards also teaches English as a Second Language at USF.
