Leading Bay Area scientists and artists will delve into the pros and cons of using synthetic biology to genetically modify organisms, how globalization impacts women’s art, how artists are adapting to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly art, and more at USF on Jan. 13.

Attendees are also invited to present, framing their latest works as 30-second teasers intended to invite follow-up. The event is part of the Leonardo Art/Science Evening Rendezvous (LASER) series, created to foster engagement with the public and interdisciplinary networking among scientists, artists, philosophers, historians, inventors, and scholars.
