  • Literature Resource Center (LRC) http://www.usfca.edu/Library/databases/Literature_Resource_Center A full-text literature database that includes biographical and contextual information on authors, as well as excerpts of literary criticism and critical essays on their works (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, history, and journalism).
  • MLA International Bibliography http://www.usfca.edu/Library/databases/MLA_International_Bibliography The largest and most comprehensive database covering scholarship in the modern languages, linguistics, literature, folklore, and drama, including film, opera, radio, television and theater. Literary criticism and literary theory are covered extensively. Contains bibliographical records or citations dating from 1963 to the present. Unlike Literature Resource Center, this database only contains bibliographic citations.

Journal, Magazine, & Newspaper Articles

These databases index popular magazines, research journals and newspapers. They contain abstracts and citations, as well as some full-text articles. They can be useful for finding critical articles as well as book reviews.
