This collection, created and maintained by the San Francisco Public Library, contains more than 250,000 photographs of San Francisco and California. It includes photographs of famous San Francisco personalities, buildings, streets, and neighborhoods. It also contains the photo archive of the San Francisco News Call Bulletin, an important early San Francisco newspaper no longer published.
