The National Atlas includes: 1) high-quality small-scale maps; 2) authoritative national geospatial maps (including soils, county boundaries, volcanoes, and watersheds); 3) geostatistical maps (covering such topics as crime patterns, population distribution, and incidence of disease); 4) online interactive maps for custom-made queries; and 5) dynamic multimedia maps to illustrate changes in the United States.
