This is a collection of databases (including the EC Enzyme database) that should be used by those individuals looking for information on enzymes and protein sequencing.

What kinds of materials are referenced in the database?

The ExPASY (Expert Protein Analysis System) server is supported by the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics. Enzyme & protein data that include such things as sequence length, taxonomy, recommended and alternative names, catalytic activity, cofactors, any diseases associated with specific enzyme deficiencies and lists of references.
