Off Campus Appointment

Writing Assistance from USF's Writing Center

The Writing Center is now offering writing assistance to students from the regional campuses. Instead of travelling to the main campus in San Francisco, you can now have an appointment at your convenience via phone with one of the Writing Coaches.

CPS students should refer to the USF Writing Center website http://www.usfca.edu/Learning_Center/writing_center/writing.htm for general information on WC protocols.

Tips for making CPS off-campus phone appointments:

1. Call 415-422-6713 to make an appointment. Download the Writing Center intake form. Please fill this out and FAX it back as a cover sheet when you send your draft.
2. Plan 1/2 hour of uninterrupted time for your appointment.
3. FAX a draft of their paper to 415-422-5266 15 minutes before you call in.
4. Have questions prepared for the Writing Consultant.
5. Keep in mind that a 1/2 hour session will work the best if you keep concerns focused on one or two writing issues. Consider working on larger issues like focus and organization before editing for grammar.
6. At your appointed time call our front desk at 415-422-6713 and they will transfer you to a Writing Consultant.
