The Coalition of Catholic Organizations Against Human Trafficking
featured a panel presentation of Catholic Universities working on Human
trafficking at it's recent meeting at the USCCB offices in Washington
DC. In addition to the University of San Francisco, the University of Dayton and St. Thomas University of Miami were presenters. The
USF presentation included the work of current Erasmus students whom are
researching human trafficking in San Francisco, the California
Transparency Act, building a network of students at Jesuit schools
working on human exploitation, and the connection between climate change
and child prostitution.
The Coalition is
made up of diverse Catholic groups including a number of women's
religious communities, State Catholic Conferences, USCCB - Office of
Migration and Refugees, Catholic Universities, CRS and others.
