Men's Rugby Club

Congratulations to USF for placing second at the 2015 NSCRO Challenge Cup Pacific Coast regional tournament and being ranked #30 in the nation!  It was the first time USF Rugby has made the playoffs since inception.  Congratulations to the following players for making NSCRO NorCal All-Star teams!!  First side: #8 Elton Rangel, #10 Joe Burson-Ryan, #12 Harry Byres.  Second side: #1 Riley Lynch and #4 Charlie Kain-Williams.

Rugby combines the physicality of American football, the stamina of soccer, and the coordination of basketball to create the ultimate sports challenge.  With fifteen players on the field, there‚Äôs a position for all body types, both big and small.  If you miss the camaraderie of High School sports, enjoy a full contact sport, or if you just want to try something new, then USF Rugby is right for you.

The USF Men's Rugby team participates in the Northern California Men's College Division 2 league governed by the National Small College Rugby Organization. The typical season consists of practices and scrimmages in the fall and approximately 3 home games and 3 away games in the spring. Currently the USF team competes against Santa Rosa Junior College, Sonoma State, St. Mary's, University of the Pacific, Sierra College, Cal Maritime Academy & Monterrey Bay.

Additionally, the club attends and participates in the USA CRC Sevens tournament in Las Vegas.  Click here for our 2015 team highlight video.
