Capoeira is a unique art form that incorporates martial arts, dance, music, acrobatics while learning about Brazilian culture and history. It helps with flexibility, physical fitness and rhythm. At the end of each class we form a Roda where every cultural aspect of Capoeira is present, not only the martial side, is a circle formed by Capoeiristas and Capoeira musical instruments, where every participant sings the typical songs and claps their hands following the music. Two Capoeiristas enter the roda and play the game according to the style required by the musical instruments rhythm. Our instructor has been teaching Capoeira for past 15 years and continues to teach around the nation in cities like Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.
