The Intensive English Program offers a serious intensive English
language training program that stresses academic English and university
preparation. IEP courses are taught by USF faculty in the Department of Rhetoric & Language.
Courses:
- Integrated Skills - reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary
- Oral Communication Skills - listening, speaking, fluency, and pronunciation in conversational and academic situations
IEP curriculum features:
- 25 hours of instruction per week
- Courses offered at the
intermediate and advanced levels
- TOEFL preparation workshops
Placement by English Language Ability:
Students will take an English Placement Exam on their first day of classes.
