Our team of skilled and dedicated HR professionals aims to be at the forefront of HR practices and to apply relevant knowledge and expertise to our work at USF.
The Human Resources Leadership team is comprised of the Assistant Vice President and the department's Directors. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the department, the HR Leadership team monitors and provides direction on HR strategic goals to ensure alignment with the university's priorities and mission. Members of the HR Leadership team partner closely with the President, Provost and other Vice Presidents and Deans to offer professional advice and support for school, department and university-wide initiatives.
As a liaison between benefit providers and University employees, HR's Benefits team helps USF employees understand and manage their benefits, including insurance and retirement plans. The team is also responsible for administering employee benefits during leaves of absence, providing benefits advice upon retirement, and running benefits-education programs and orientations for the USF community.
Providing strategic and tactical Human Resources management and support to USF departments and schools, our Employment team works closely with the university’s senior leaders, managers, and employees to translate the organization’s requirements into people-solutions. We are a resource on a wide spectrum of HR matters such as recruitment, performance management, learning and development, compensation, employee relations, as well as employment policies and procedures, and provide practical advice that balances the needs of the individual with the needs of the university, while also ensuring USF compliance with federal, state and local laws.
Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) team
Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is responsible for maintaining HR information for employees at the university. HRIS works closely with university departments and committees to ensure that information is entered and maintained properly; that data policies and regulations are followed; and that compensation and benefits are paid correctly. In addition, the group is responsible for supporting all HR systems, delivering reports/data sets to departments, managing upgrades, and maintaining the data systems.
