Give every year – make an impact every day. As a University of San Francisco alumnus/a, your gift every year helps ensure that current and future students receive the quality Jesuit education that you received.
Your gift will also help increase the value of your degree. Each donation an alum makes to USF counts toward the annual alumni participation rate, whether that gift is $10, $25, $100, or $10,000!
What is Alumni Participation?
The term alumni participation when used in higher education specifically means the percentage of alumni that make a financial contribution to their alma mater during the year. Alumni participation is recalculated every year, and is a measure of the NUMBER of graduates who give that year rather than the amount that you give. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.
We need your help to reach our goal of 7,000 alumni donors this school year. If you haven’t yet made your gift this year, give now and and help us move one step closer to the goal.
Every gift sustains our reputation for excellence.
The alumni participation rate is one of the metrics used to determine national rankings in publications like U.S. News and World Report. As USF’s ranking increases, the value of your degree increases.
Every gift helps USF raise more money.
Corporations and foundations put a great emphasis on alumni participation rate when making decisions about grant awards. The more alumni who give, the more eligible we are for grant funding. Your gift of any size today will help bring in tens of thousands of dollars in support for USF in the future.
Every gift makes an impact.
Gifts from alumni have an immediate and direct impact on USF. Today, tuition only covers 80% of the full cost of a USF education. Alumni donations play a crucial role in making up the difference so that USF can provide scholarships, services, programs and facilities for current students.
Every gift helps pay it forward.
Alumni participation in giving is a proud tradition at USF! As an alumnus/a, your gift makes a difference to today’s students in the same way that gifts from alumni that came before you made your experience at USF possible.
You can feel good about investing in USF.
We devote the majority of our resources to areas that directly benefit students. Institutional Support only makes up 12% of USF’s total expenses while 60% is spent for Instruction and Financial Aid for students. Click on the image to the left to view a larger chart of USF Fiscal Year 2011 expenses.
