Paul Ryder

Term Assistant Professor

Paul Ryder, Ph.D., is an eclectic thinker and catalyst who has designed and led ideas and projects on everything from sales training for corporate managers to idea and book design for business gurus to group process design for medical schools. His approach to pattern recognition, principle discovery, learning design, storytelling, and strategy development has been employed by a wide range of clients, for the federal government (DoD, FBI, CIA, NSA) to New Economy icons such as Tom Peters, Seth Godin, and Fast Company. A startup veteran and member of the executive team at Ninth House Network, Ryder went on to found two businesses, RevoMetrix, LLC and RNM Global. In an attempt to understand the widest range of ideas and modes of thought he has collected degrees in physics (A.B. Harvard College) developmental psychology (M.S. Rutgers University) and mythology (Ph.D. Pacifica Graduate Institute). In 2005, Ryder joined the faculty at the University of San Francisco, teaching graduate classes in creativity, innovation, leadership, story telling, consulting, and Design Thinking. He is the Academic Director for the Executive MBA program.
