Richard Puntillo, Professor Emeritus, is a highly regarded business professional and a committed teacher whose personal value for high academic standards aligned with the University's vision to equip students to lead and succeed. He is the four-time recipient of the Outstanding Teacher Award and has twice received the student nominated Teaching Excellence Award for the Executive MBA Program. Additionally, he was given the honors of Outstanding Research Award and Outstanding Service Award. Throughout his teaching trajectory, Professor Puntillo brings real world experience in due diligence and teaches corporate financial decision making within his MBA finance courses. His constant dedication to give students the opportunities and tools to leverage their success as business professionals is recognized by both faculty and students.

Professor Puntillo draws upon over two decades of executive-level roles in investment and commercial banking firms and significant experience on boards of directors in SEC-reporting companies. As an expert witness in numerous litigation matters involving initial public offerings (IPOs), mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, venture capital, and private equity deals.
