Neil D. Walshe

Assistant Professor

Professor Neil Walshe addresses the role of morality and virtue in organizational life, exploring the psychosocial processes and mechanisms through which moral constructions become moral behaviors. Dr. Walshe's research and teaching investigate the role of courage and cowardice in the workplace, as well as the subject of ethics in such contentious industry sectors as armaments and defense.

Dr. Walshe aims to develop greater insight into how employees construct and exhibit virtuous behavior at work. His recent research examines high-risk occupations such as ordnance disposal, private military contracting, and air traffic control. It aims to understand the role morality plays in occupational and organizational life, in addition to raising awareness of the costs of moral behavior at both the individual and organizational level.
