Military Science Instructor

Sergeant First Class (SFC) Matthew T. Conover, Military Science Instructor, is what many would define as a 'leader's leader.' With a seemingly unparalleled service and training background, Instructor Conover received his military education at Ft. Knox, Ft. Hood and Ft. Lewis, U.S.A, followed by service overseas as a Bradley Driver, Section Leader, Platoon Sergeant and Battle Captain in Operation Intrinsic Action, Kuwait, 1999; and Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq, in 2003-2004, 2006-2007, and 2009-2010. A highly decorated military officer, SFC Conover is the recipient of over 35 commendations and high honor awards including two Bronze Star Medals, two Purple Hearts and Army Commendation Award with Valor.

Combining leadership training and management experience, SFC Conover's courses help students develop the qualities necessary for success in either a military or civilian career. Instructor Conover sees the program as a valuable opportunity for students to ensure a solid future by simultaneously earning their college degree and an Army Officer's commission. Army ROTC cadets are taught to be leaders and are provided hands on experience in managing physical, financial, and human resources.

A native of Ronan, Montana, SFC Matthew T. Conover enlisted in June 1997. In addition to teaching, he has been an active service member of the Dons Battalion since 2010. Instructor Conover is married to Delma Conover and they have two sons and three daughters.
