- Craigslist- Craigslist has a plethora of part-time jobs listed with descriptions ranging from salesperson to dance instructor to nanny. Look for the “part-time” link at the bottom of the “Jobs” section.
- Coffee Bars- Coffee bars offer flexible work schedules and, because San Francisco has at least one on every block, are generally close to home.

- Mystery Shopping- Mystery shoppers are paid to act like regular customers of banks, retail stores, restaurants, or even government offices, but are really there to report on cleanliness, food quality and customer service. These are some firms that hire mystery shoppers.

- Commercial and Extra Work-These local casting agencies are constantly looking for extras to use for commercials and movies. Get on their email lists to get regular casting calls; note that not all extra work is paid, so be sure to ask.
