Center for Latinx Studies in the Americas (CELASA) contributes to the understanding of Latinx communities in the United States and throughout Latin America and promotes scholarly communication across national boundaries. CELASA fosters the interdisciplinary analysis of the social, economic, political, and cultural realities of Latin Americans and of Latinxs in the United States.

Divisadero Newsletter

The Divisadero is a Latin American Studies newsletter, produced by the students. This newsletter offers an inclusive and critical view of the current issues in Latin America and the Latin@ community in the U.S. by citing the historical, social, and political forces which drive communities across our hemisphere.

Visiting Scholars

CELASA hosts scholars and community leaders from Latin America. Visitors receive library privileges, use of university facilities including the Koret Recreation Center, and collaboration with CELASA faculty.
