Working with certain kinds of equipment, hazardous materials or even the kind of work you do may require special training, re-training, equipment and recordkeeping.
In California the Environmental Protection Agency (Cal-EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal-OSHA) have numerous regulations with regard to environmental and occupational safety.
Many of these require a written program, training of affected staff, and the purchase and maintenance of equipment. The program may be inspected by a regulatory agency on a routine basis or at any time.
Please contact the Environmental Safety Office for a review and
determination of the appropriate safety program requirements.
