All USF students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, and neighbors are invited to the following free public events during USF's 150th anniversary weekend October 13-16, 2005:
The Phoenix & the Bell:
A Pageant Celebrating USF At 150 Years
Thursday, October 13, 7:00 PM
repeated on Saturday, October 15, 3:00 PM
A light-hearted extravaganza presenting USFs history and lore, held in St. Ignatius Church with a reception to follow in a giant tent on Welch Field.
University Green and Gold Gala
Saturday, October 15, 9:00 PM
A birthday bash in University Center featuring live music and entertainment, dancing, and light refreshments.
Sesquicentennial Mass
Sunday, October 16, 11:00 AM
A Mass in St. Ignatius Church to commemorate the arrival of
the Jesuits in San Francisco and the legacy and promise of USF,
featuring a homily by USF President Stephen A. Privett, S.J., and
USF Chancellor John Lo Schiavo, S.J., with a reception to follow.
Free parking for the above events in the Koret Lot at Turk & Parker
or on Ulrich Field & Benedetti Diamond at Golden Gate & Masonic.
